Although last weekend’s attempted coup was eventually aborted by the mercenary group’s leader,, it has left Russia looking increasingly unstable, with the Russian President forced to make a series of rare public appearances to shore up his position.
Podolyak’s view is that Wagner will no longer be a force to be reckoned with, having lost Putin’s billions in funding. “The opening of a northern front is not likely because Lukashenko is afraid of an uncontrolled autonomous military unit, and he has no funds to support it. So, they will be small in numbers.
Mykhailo Podolyak, head of President Zelensky’s office, is comforted to know that his wife and three young children are far away from the dangers in Ukraine “A good term is the beginning of the end. “It is impossible to do this fast,” he says before promising much more is to come. “We are at the first stage of the counteroffensive, and we are finding the weak spots in the Russian line, destroying Russian logistics. “It is not a question of training. Our pilots are ready,” says Podolyak. “It is a question of supply, of long-range artillery systems, preparing the airfields, the repair bases. We are doing this and we trying to make it faster so they can arrive in a couple of months.
