Belleville council agrees with a Guelph area community that the provincial government ought to start cleaning up trash littering the sides of Highway 401.
Council supported a resolution by the Township of Puslinch being circulated province wide and councillor Chris Malette said he’s been seeing more trash along the 401 with a lot of it consisting of plastics, a confirmed threat to the environment.“One of the things we can do is insist that…….let’s make summer jobs for students, get ’em out on the 401 cleaning up the 401. It’s a simple initiative.”
