"I was asleep on the couch when my wife walked in and shouted, 'Dave, the puppy's chewing your toe!'," he told the publication.
By the time his wife made him realise what was going on, he says the puppy had already chewed his toe to the bone. "My puppy had near enough chewed my big toe off! It chewed down to the bone and cracked it," he said.After being rushed to the hospital, he learned that he had two blocked arteries that could have led to more health complications had it not been discovered in time.
"But because of all this, I discovered that my foot is completely numb, I can't feel anything," he told the publication. He was told that the blocked arteries could put his whole leg in danger of amputation if the blood supply wasn't returned."You've got to laugh about it. He's done me a favour by chewing my toe."
