Pumpkin growing returns to Bondar Pavillion

The event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 1.

New categories are being added this year, with awards for the largest tomato, zucchini, and sunflower now up for grabs. Participants are asked to have their vegetables on site by 9 a.m., and pumpkins on site no later than 11 a.m.The Algoma Famer’s Market will be holding their annual pumpkin weigh off Saturday Oct. 1, 2022 at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion. Enter your potential award winning giant pumpkin for everyone to admire. Please have your pumpkins on site by 11 a.m.

Additional categories will be added this year, largest Tomato, Zucchini and Sunflower. Please have your vegetables at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion by 9 a.m. as judging will begin at 11:30 am, Prizes will also be awarded for each of the three categories. The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library will be offering Family Story Time and Crafts from 11 – 11:30 a.m.
