There will be public meetings regarding a couple of rezoning applications at Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee meeting on Monday.
The city has received a rezoning application for a 4.47 hectare piece of land between Avonlough Road and Sienna Avenue for the next phase of the Potters Creek subdivision. Rezoning would make way for the development of an initial 44 dwelling units within Potters Creek Phase 9B, including 35 single detached dwellings and nine townhouses, and the future development of the remaining lands.
And a new long term care facility and townhouses are proposed for a piece of property on Sidney Street. If approved, the rezoning of the 2.3 hectare piece of land at 645 Sidney Street north of Tracey Street would enable the development of a five-storey long term care facility on the west side of the property and permit 34 townhouse units on the east side. The Planning Advisory Committee meets Monday at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall.
