A foiled suspected hijacking resulted in a truck driver’s death and the looting of goods by community members.
In a shocking incident, community members stole dairy products out of a truck while the fatally shot driver’s body was still behind the wheel.
As they were passing through Marite, it is alleged that four or five armed people attempted to stop the truck. The police and paramedics were summoned to the scene where the driver, Petros Jay Magagula from Matsulu, was declared dead.
