The officer is due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates Court in January

A serving PSNI officer has been charged with drink-driving after a collision in Lisburn on Christmas Eve.She has been charged with a number of motoring offences including driving with excess alcohol and driving without due care and attention.She is due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates Court on Thursday, January 19.The Police Ombudsman's office confirmed it was aware of the alleged incident.

The PSNI launched its annual winter drink-driving campaign on 1 December with a key message asking people to "pause for a second" to think about the damage they could do getting behind the wheel after drinking or taking drugs.
