Soweto giants Orlando Pirates missed an opportunity to back to the top of the Betway Premiership after they were beaten by Stellenbosch FC on Sunday, while Golden Arrows beat Cape Town City.

Having been 2-0 up at the break following goals from Themba Mantshiyane and Ryan Moon, Abafana Be’thende took the foot off the gas in the second half, which as the opening the Citizen had been looking for.Goals from Gabriel Amato and Amadou Soukouna saw City pull level. And with the lion’s share of the ball possession, you would have thought they had enough to go on and win the game.
Despite being on the back foot for much of the game, Arrows were able to hold on for the win, which saw them up to fifth in the league.
