Wait, what?! Paris Saint-Germain have now reportedly retracted their manager Christophe Galtier's recent comments on Lionel Messi's future at the club. 😲 More here! ▶️

Speaking in a press conference on Thursday afternoon, the French boss stated that Messi will be playing his last game at the club's home ground this weekend."I've had the privilege of managing the best player of all time. It'll be his last match at the Parc des Princes, I hope he'll be welcomed in the best possible way. He was an important part of the team this season and was always available," the Frenchman said.

It remains unclear whether or not he would want to remain with the Parisians after all, having been booed at a few times during matches by a section of the club's supporters this season, and having also faced protests from fans demanding that he leaves the team alongside his close friend and teammate Neymar.

Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia are also said to be waiting on Messi's decision to join them after they made a mega-money proposal for his services that would see the 35-year-old eclipse his old rival Cristiano Ronaldo as the highest-paid footballer in the world. His former club FC Barcelona also maintain strong hopes of a fairy-tale reunion with the South America after his two seasons in the capital of France.
