The Proteas have now struck all three of the highest innings totals at the 2023 Cricket World Cup in India.

In their opening match against Sri Lanka the Proteas put up 428 for 5 which is still the biggest score from any team in this tournament. After a shock loss to the Netherlands the Proteas hit back against England.England had no answer to the bullying Proteas batting lineup and gave up 399. After big knocks by the top order David Miller would finish the innings with a cameo that helped lift the Proteas to another huge score.“It was a really good wicket, coming in their at the end I had no choice but to go for it. With the slower balls it didn’t really come on, but other than that it was a typical Wankhede wicket,” David Miller said at the innings break.
