The shooting happened early Aug. 6.
OAKLAND — Alameda County prosecutors have charged a man with murder following a shootout earlier this month that killed a Pittsburg man and wounded the suspect and a woman in the Uptown district.
The murder charge carries with it special allegations that Warrick used a gun and that he intentionally used it and caused great bodily injury with it. Warrick also has been charged with assault with a semiautomatic gun.According to a police probable-cause-for-arrest statement, surveillance video shows Warrick approaching Barnes in the 1900 block of Broadway with a gun in his hand and a flash from a gun is visible.
Warrick and a woman who was with him were wounded in the shoutout, according to police. Officers found them in front of an apartment in the 400 block of 17th Street, wearing the same clothes they were seen wearing in surveillance video of the shooting, Godchaux wrote.
