Yet, it is not always appropriate, it added. Due to their bad experience, many of its clients who had faced workplace discrimination did not want to face their employers and some also reported feeling re-traumatised, distressed and humiliated after their mediation sessions.
During the mediation, the focus will be on correcting errant practices by the employer and mending the relationship between the company and worker where possible. As for"mental health conditions", the organisation proposed that it refers to"long-term mental impairment which similarly impacts a person's participation in society and limits major life activities".
