Ohio State's 15 selections beat out Michigan's 14 selections for the most players named in Pro Football Focus' preseason All-Big Ten teams for 2023.

Marvin Harrison Jr., Emeka Egbuka and Tommy Eichenberg were Ohio State's selections on the preseason first team. All three Buckeyes were All-Big Ten honorees last season, with Harrison and Eichenberg on the first team and Egbuka on the second team. Michigan led all schools with seven preseason first-team selections, including J.J. McCarthy, Blake Corum, Zak Ginter, Drake Nugent, Kris Jenkins, Will Johnson and Rod Moore.

Ohio State's six preseason second-team selections – JT Tuimoloau, Tyleik Williams, Denzel Burke, Lathan Ransom, Jesse Mirco and Matt Jones – were the most in the conference. Tuimoloau was the lone player from that collection of Buckeyes to earn an All-Big Ten honor last season, receiving first-team recognition with Eichenberg. Michigan had the second-most players in the preseason category, including Donovan Edwards, Mason Graham, Josaiah Stewart, Junior Colston and Mike Sainristil.

Penn State paced the conference with the most preseason third-team selections with seven. However, the Buckeyes were directly behind the Nittany Lions with six honorees, including TreVeyon Henderson, Miyan Williams, Donovan Jackson, Julian Fleming, Mike Hall Jr. and Jack Sawyer. Four of those six Buckeyes received All-Big Ten honors in 2022, with Henderson as an honorable mention, Williams and Hall on the third team and Jackson on the first team.

Ryan Day, Harrison, Tuimoloau and Cade Stover will attend Big Ten Media Days on July 26 and 27 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The following week, Ohio State will start fall camp for 2023. On Sept. 2, the Buckeyes will open their regular season on the road against Indiana at 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
