Jasmonique Ware, 30, of Hueytown, is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful possession of marijuana and promoting prison contraband.
When Ware went to work on Thursday, correctional officers conducted a search. They found two packages on her and plastic bag with an unknown substance under the food in her bag.
Jasmonique Ware is charged with trying to smuggle drugs into William Donaldson Correctional Facility. The two packages contained five clear bags of marijuana and two clear bags of suspected methamphetamine.She was booked into the Jefferson County Jail at 10:08 p.m. Thursday and remains held on bonds totaling $45,000.
