Spending time in prison isn’t something you can fully understand until you’ve been there yourself. It’s a world with its own rules, routines, and struggles, where even the simplest things—like having a bed to sleep on or taking a shower—can feel like luxuries. Here’s my story into that reality, one that most people never see.Being in prison, even if it is your first time behind bars, to be able to survive and just be able to have your own place to sleep.

One of the most hated things in prison for me was prison lice. Yes, it’s terrible, and you just can’t get rid of it. It’s so bad that even if you just washed your clothes, you still find it there, waiting for you. And with not much of a choice, you put back on the same clothes you had on.
