Sparta Prague have been given a huge boost ahead of their Europa League showdown with Rangers after it was revealed manager Brian Priske turned down a chance to take charge of mid-table Bundesliga side Augsburg.
Danish boss Priske was rewarded with a new contract last week after guiding Sparta to their first title in nine years last term and they have made a strong start to their defence of the flag too after ten wins and two draws in their opening dozen league games.Augsburg sacked manager Enric Maassen and approached Priske earlier this month to take charge of the club who currently sit in tenth place in the Bundesliga.
