Residents got notice on Sept. 1 that the Princeton Care Center was closing. Families say their loved ones had to leave that day.
-- Lawmakers in Princeton are calling for investigations and reform after a senior home abruptly closed with less than a day's notice, forcing 72 seniors to move out as many of their families scramble to find their next home.
"My mother gave me a call and she was sobbing," said Mikkelsen's daughter Stacy Launer."She said that she needed to be out of the facility, that they were closing down." Residents were given options that day to be transferred to other senior facilities, but some families declined and said the options were too far.
