Local nurse finds success on Austrian slopes
Nikki Kassel still knows the way to the medal podium at the Masters World Cup cross-country ski championships.
In her first event on Sunday, the 49-year-old Prince George nurse raced to a second-place finish in the seven kilometre freestyle. Kassel clocked 21:26.1 on the mountainous course, finishing two minutes off the gold-medal pace of Sigrid Mutscheller of Germany.
