Nearly two dozen tickets issued to local drivers in three hours

Nearly two dozen drivers who ignored the posted speed limit while passing through a construction zone in the city are now regretting their actions.

RCMP are also urging drivers to "slow down and move over" when approaching workers and vehicles stopped on roadsides. More to the point, drivers must slow their speed to 70km/h when in an 80km/h or over zone and to 40km/h when in an under 50km/h zone. Failing to lower your speed or move over may result in a $173 traffic violation ticket and three points on your driver’s license.
