Families were treated to a free Halloween event this weekend
Families in Prince George flooded the Central B.C. Railway and Forestry Museum this weekend to celebrate Halloween a little early.
The museum hosted a Halloween-themed event on Saturday and Sunday. Admission was free but the museum also collected nonperishable food items to support a local food pantry. People had the chance to follow some monster footprints on a Halloween story walk, organized by the Prince George Public Library and YMCA of Northern BC and spot the spooky additions to the museum’s regular exhibits.
One of the biggest hits of the event was the Cottonwood Mini train which ran for both days and offered a ride to kids of all ages for just $3 per ticket. The Prince George Nechako Rotary Club was also giving away free pumpkins at the museum pumpkin patch.
