Adrienne Fitzpatrick’s second book, Instructions for a Flood, launches this weekend.

Prince George non-fiction author Adrienne Fitzpatrick will launch her second book, Instructions for a Flood: Reflections on Story, Geography and Connection, on Saturday.

The free book launch happens at the Omineca Arts Centre, located at 369 Victoria St., at 7 p.m. Copies of the book from Books and Company will be available for purchase. Fitzpatrick’s two books have been published by Prince George-based Caitlin Press. “Instructions for a Flood is a non-fiction account, in the form of personal essays and vignettes, of a life in the central interior and coastal regions of British Columbia,” Caitlin Press’ website says. “Inspired by her passion for exploration and a desire to reframe her understanding of the areas in which she grew up, Adrienne Fitzpatrick embarks upon a decade of reflection and personal reconciliation within her own community and the broader landscape she inhabits.
