A 27-year-old woman is dead and a 31-year-old woman in hospital with serious injuries after an incident in Prince Albert on Friday —Prince Albert Police Service said in a news release that officers were called to a weapons complaint in the 300 block of 13th Street East on Oct. 6 around 5:15 p.m., and found the 27-year-old female with serious injuries. She was taken to Victoria Hospital by Parkland Ambulance where she later died.

Traffic restrictions were in place in the 13th St E area for much of the day on Saturday while PAPS criminal investigation division, crime reduction team and forensic identification section continue to investigate, but were lifted late afternoon.
