Preston Orpheus Choir is gearing up to sing again after the summer break, with a new music director in position.Dan, who has worked as a music director for eight years, specialises in amateur and community choirs.
Currently music director with The Grand Choir in Clitheroe, Darwen Library Larks, and The A Cappella Singers in Wilpshire, Dan is also choral director with Ormskirk Music Society. In addition to music directing, Dan is also a busy music arranger and journalist, currently working as web and magazine editor for the Light Music Society.Read more:A Preston Orpheus Choir spokesperson said: “Dan stepped in at very short notice as Guest Conductor for our Come and Sing Mozart’s Requiem in June and very quickly established a great rapport with the choir.
“The massive success of the event was in no small part down to the way Dan worked with both the choir in advance of the day, and with the large number of visiting singers who came along to join us for the afternoon workshop and evening performance.New members are encouraged to join the choir, which also has a new rehearsal venue at St Pius X Catholic Preparatory School in Fulwood.
