In a battle of area champion and state playoff teams, Class 3A, Area 3 champ Providence Christian edged Class 2A, Area 3 winner Wicksburg 9-7 on the Panther home field

For Wicksburg , Dean, Grant Calhoun and Brody Rainey all had two hits each with Dean driving in three runs and Calhoun two. Gabe Glover added an RBI double and Christian Morris a run-scoring single. Also for Enterprise , Tyler Martin had a two-run triple and a two-run double, while Brady Cavanaugh had a two-run double and run-scoring single and Walker Turner had an RBI double.For Opp , Nelson Hall had two hits, including a two-run single.
Three Patriot pitchers combined to limit Rehobeth to five hits. Cole Garrott, the last of the three pitchers, got the win, working the final three innings, allowing a hit and no runs. Barron, the starter, struck out five over two innings. Braden Shirley struck out two in two innings in between.Houston Academy 8, Slocomb 0: Three Houston Academy pitchers combined on a seven-inning four-hit shutout and the Raider offense scored in five of six innings.
Northside Methodist 15, Geneva County 5: Northside Methodist finished the season with a 13-11 record, winning on senior night. New Brockton 21, Kinston 3: New Brockton scored 12 runs in the third inning and five more in the third to pull away to a four-inning win.
