Everton, who pipped the likes of Leeds United and Leicester City to survival last season, are having their FFP case heard by an independent comission

Everton are reportedly facing a 12-point deduction after the Premier League recommended an unprecedented punishment amid the club's ongoing case concerning their alleged break of Financial Fair Play rules. The Telegraph claim that the Premier League have recommended docking the Toffees up to 12 points to the independent commission that is currently hearing the case.

The Premier League referred Everton to the independent commission in March, with other potential sanctions outlined in the report including a fine and/or transfer embargo. Should the Toffees be docked 12 points then they would move to the foot of the Premier League table on minus-five points. The club are currently in the middle of a takeover, with American group 777 Partners undergoing the ratification process by the Premier League.
