Manchester United secured a third straight victory in the Premier League after defeating Leicester City 1-0 on Thursday evening. SLInt MORE:
United manager Erik ten Hag went with an unchanged line-up for a third straight game, as Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Casemiro had to make do with a place on the bench once again.
The Red Devils broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute as a swift passing move ending with Marcus Rashford playing in Sancho, who rounded goalkeeper Danny Ward to slot into an empty net. After a disappointing first-half showing, Brendan Rodgers' men came out a little livelier in the second and went close to getting the equaliser through James Maddison's free-kick, which forced David de Gea into a fine save.
Ronaldo also made his way onto the pitch for the final 20 minutes in place of Sancho, while Leicester threw Kelechi Iheanacho to partner Jamie Vardy in the attack.
