When Gemma Townsend gave birth to her first premature baby, Sienna, now four, the tot arrived weighing just 3lbs 3oz.
Gemma gave birth to her second premature baby, Amelia, now 15 months, in June 2022, eight weeks early, weighing the exact same as her sister.But thankfully, after being put in a coma for seven days and spending two months in hospital, little Amelia pulled through and was able to come home in August 2022 to join her sister, Sienna.
They decided she needed to give birth when Gemma’s blood pressure shot up, and she was at risk of a seizure. During this time, she was hardly able to see her baby, but after they both recovered, she was finally able to bring her home in December 2018.
