Lorenz is six months pregnant with Desmond’s child and is expecting the arrival of a baby boy in November. Lorenz said she sat in the hospital alongside the father-to-be of her expected child until his very last breath. “That’s what Davelle would want, for them to be there for me and us to all be there for each other,” she said.Lorenz said she hopes the person responsible for the assault leading to Desmond’s death is aware that “they took someone who meant a lot to everybody”.
