Predicted Leeds Rhinos side with Rhyse Martin change and forgotten man recalled
There are plenty of changes for Rohan Smith to contemplate ahead of Sunday's trip across West Yorkshire for the crucial game with Huddersfield Giants. Three enforced changes will have to be made, with Nene Macdonald, Corey Johnson and James McDonnell all unavailable for the match.
There are a number of 'locks' in the seventeen, you feel. The pack, barring James McDonnell's position, picks itself. McDonnell's spot goes to Morgan Gannon, who successfully returned to action in the reserves last week. We've got him down as a starter, that role could maybe go to James Donaldson, but he has performed coming off the bench in recent outings, injecting energy.
And that leaves us picking Martin in the halves. Controversial? Absolutely, but we know that Rohan Smith likes his halfbacks to run with the ball and that's certainly not a problem for the Papua New Guinea international. We know he's strong defensively and he will allow the workload to be shared out across an extra player.
