In the video, taken from the crowd below the luxury suite, Norcross — a Camden insurance executive and South Jersey party boss long considered one of the state’s most powerful non-elected officials — was seated toward the front of the box at the Philadelphia stadium, with a banner picturing half the U.S. flag and half the Israeli flag draped in front., a Republican who has long been a friend and sometimes ally.

A stadium source told NJ Advance Media that Norcross was in violation of longstanding policy prohibiting banners being displayed at the venue. The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, added that Norcross was approached and told about the policy and that he would need to remove it or leave the property. Norcross was verbally and physically abusive to those stadium representatives and law enforcement on site, the source said.

Norcross, a longtime Eagles fan, was scheduled to hold a tailgate party before the game, according to invitations to the event.by former Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski — a longtime South Jersey resident — on NBC Sports while the two stood in front of a flag outside the stadium that looked similar to the one hanging from the box. Christie, who is currently running for president a second time, is a die-hard Cowboys fan but was wearing a Princeton University sweatshirt during the interview.
