Powerball lottery ticket worth $1 million sold in central Pa.

The ticket was sold for the Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, drawing.

said the ticket was sold at Pottsville Provision Company, 415 N. Seventh St. in Pottsville, Schuylkill County. The company will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winning tickets purchased at lottery retailers should immediately be signed on the back, the lottery said.
