A number of Wilko stores across the UK will close today
Poundland owner Pepco has agreed to buy up to 71 Wilko stores following the collapse of the high street chain.
The news comes as 24 Wilko stores are set to close for good on Tuesday as the first to shut following the stores collapse into administration. A further 28 will sease trading on Thursday and next week, another 124 more shops will go and the final 222 stores are all due to close by early next month.Poundland said its new lease agreements are set to be completed in “early autumn”, aiming to open the stores by the end of 2023.
