Many Canadians are taking chances on new career opportunities, according to a recent survey by ADP Canada Co. Read on.
Over a quarter of employees said they received a pay raise that was non-performance related in the last six months. More than a third of those raises were above five per cent.Article content“These findings highlight the wide range of factors that play a role in employee retention, most importantly the growing need for job flexibility and competitive compensation,” Ed Yuen, vice-president of strategy and HR outsourcing at ADP Canada, said in a press release.
The report pointed out that employee expectations will continue to evolve along with market conditions. Employers can track these changes by collecting feedback through regular check-ins and anonymous surveys that identify what their workers’ current priorities, concerns and needs are., Canadian workers are experiencing increasing strain on their mental health. After four months of improvement, Canadians’ mental health score declined in June.
. “We have not seen a collective mental health score this low since January, which signals that conversations surrounding employee well-being and support should be continuing to ramp up, not slow down.”Article content
