Holiday season anxiety runs high as Canadians brace for tighter restrictions

New capacity restrictions are also in place in Ontario, British Columbia and other provinces to help curb the spread of COVID-19 and the Omicron variant. Two-in-five feel their provincial restrictions are currently hitting the right mark, while 26 per cent say they go too far. The rapid antigen test has become a prized product this holiday season as Canadians are hoping it “would add an extra layer of security to holiday gatherings,” according to the survey.
