The cause of the Pond Post Office fire has been revealed as it undergoes refurbishment.
However, by the end of the month customers were still unable to use it.A Post Office spokesperson said: “Work has started to carry out at the refurbishment and there is still a lot to do including reconnecting the electricity supply.“Therefore, it is too early to say when the shop and Post Office will be able to re-open.”
The Post Office has been unable to find a new location and customers have been directed to nearby branches.
