Canada Post issued a yellow delivery service alert due to poor weather and freezing rain. The alert means that its carriers are doing their best to deliver, but there may be delays.Regular delivery will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so, Canada Post said. "While our delivery agents are doing their best to deliver through difficult weather conditions, severe winter elements pose a safety risk to our employees – and others," the agency said in a release.
Residents are asked to clear any ice and snow from walkways, stairs and driveways to ensure safe access to the door for mail carriers.
