At 8:47 a.m. Saturday morning, Environment Canada reported that hurricane force winds of 100 gusting to 140 kilometres per hour at exposed locations and 140 gusting to 160 km/h at the coast. “This warning represents the region within the core of Post-Tropical Fiona,” Environment Canada wrote.Due to the severe weather conditions, Newfoundland Power is reporting several power outages.In Isle aux Morts, 359 are properties without power.In the area of Regional Street in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland Power is reporting 26 and 79 properties without power.
