Many of you will have used it on the way to Skegness
A popular petrol station used by motorists on the way to Skegness is set to get a major upgrade under new plans. Ulceby Cross Filling Station on the A16 is a key stop off for motorists travelling to Alford, Skegness and Boston.
The proposals include demolishing the existing store and part of the neighbouring workshop. The building would be converted into a larger shop and eatery. Lincolnshire Live reports a new HGV fuel pump would be built into the existing forecourt as well as six EV charging points. Disabled parking spaces would also be provided on the site.In documents before East Lindsey District Council, the applicant states: "This proposal would allow the business to redevelop the site to handle demand more efficiently as it is the only service station within the vicinity.
The converted workshop would see a conservatory food seating area and toilets on the ground floor, with the first floor used for office and storage space. The workshop was previously used by CLAAS Eastern which has now relocated to a nearby site.
