It is hoped a dog training business will take its place

A day care and training facility for dogs could soon replace a popular gym in Nottingham. The gym, Nottingham Strong, will be moving to Lenton while the dog training business, Build a Bond, hopes to move into the building in Meadow Lane.

Mr Rybicki now employs six members of staff and hopes to use the building, London House in Meadow Lane, as a base of operations, primarily for dog training. "When the first lockdown passed I then went into dog walking and training full time," he said."Then the second lockdown hit and we obviously struggled as we had no support due to not trading for long enough. Our turnover for the first year was low.

The company now offers dog training, dog walking, training courses, pet-sitting, puppy one-to-one sessions, volunteering, day trips and services such as professional photoshoots. Normal membership will start from £7.99, with a premium membership for unlimited access to training classes costing around £39.99.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Strong , which opened in London House five years ago, will be moving to a new premises in Church Street, Lenton. Work is currently underway to transform its new site, a former warehouse, while the gym in Meadow Lane remains open for use.
