A popular Braehead facility is closing permanently due to 'financial and safety concerns'.
Braehead Leisure Partnership has taken the decision to close the indoor ski slope at XSite Braehead for good following a number of investigations into its viability.Tests have since concluded that the ski slope has been deemed unviable and all of the snow and ice must be removed as soon as possible.
Given the age and poor condition of the ski slope as well as the money needed to put it into shape, it has been rendered unviable. “We must now focus on the future. We are working on options to reopen this amazing space as a new and thrilling attraction with a broad appeal. Other entertainment facilities that remain open at XSite Braehead include an Odeon cinema, Tenpin bowling, Climbzone, Gravity Active, Paradise Island Adventure Golf and Laser Tag, along with shopping and a range of food and drink options.We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories.
