Nicola Sturgeon tells reporters she is"heavily constrained" in what she can say due to the ongoing police investigation into the SNP's finances, but reiterates she is"certain I have done nothing wrong".
"I will always consider, and I'll consider on an ongoing basis at all times, what's in the best interests of the SNP - a party that I have given my all to over almost my entire life," she adds. Challenged on the fact she suspended someone who asserted their innocence, Ms Sturgeon says it is"incorrect to assert that is some iron precedent."

"In any workplace other than parliament, where the rule of law, not privilege applies, Nicolson would have been instantly dismissed," she tweeted. But asked for the PM's own opinion on his predecessor's behaviour or whether he agreed with the report's conclusions, the spokesman kept repeating his"respect" for the MPs' vote last night.
