Applications are open to both those voters registered abroad as well as locally registered voters who will be travelling outside of the country during the election and wish to vote outside of the country.
Voting outside of the country is scheduled for Saturday April 27, 2019 at South Africa’s foreign missions. IEC Chief Electoral Officer, Sy Mamabolo says: “The applications relate to persons who wish to vote outside of South Africa, they need to notify the IEC of their intended absence and the place outside of SA where they intend to vote.”
“If they are registered, their application will be approved and during special voting they will be able to cast a ballot outside of South Africa.”
