RCMP say suspected intruder barricaded himself inside bedroom, shot himself after refusing officers\u0027 attempts to remove him.
Responding to a firearms complaint at around 3:15 a.m., Sylvan Lake RCMP witnessed the man — later identified as a 33-year-old Red Deer resident — enter the home with a firearm.Police were able to remove the home’s occupant but the suspect barricaded himself inside a bedroom and refused to leave. At least two gunshots were heard after a lengthy negotiation and officers found the man dead inside the room.
