Officers raced to Harmony Row in Govan after the alarm was raised at around 7pm on Tuesday.
A picture shared with Glasgow Live showed multiple police units in attendance at the scene of the "disturbance".
The road was quickly closed off from Golspie Street to Helen Street and locals were told to avoid the area.A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed a 32-year-old man was arrested in connectiion.
