It is not the first set of complaints about the festival this year
Police have received a number of calls from local residents concerned about the noise coming from Download Festival. According to reports on social media, the annual rock festival could be heard in Stapleford, at least 10 miles away from the Donington Park venue, as well as in Long Eaton and other suburbs on the edge of Derby.
On Thursday evening , a spokesman said: "We are receiving a number of calls from residents concerned about noise from the Download Festival this evening. Download Festival is an annual music event held at Donington Park near Castle Donington in Leicestershire.
This year an extra day of music has been added to the bill to mark the festival's 20th anniversary. But with the likes of Metallica, Alter Bridge and Halestorm among Thursday's acts, the entertainment appeared to have reached audiences further afield, thought to have been because of the weather conditions.
