Central Newfoundland RCMP officers were busy ticketing and seizing vehicles earlier this week.
RCMP in central Newfoundland seized a number of vehicles for various offences of the Highway Traffic Act on Monday, Jan. 23 and Tuesday, Jan. 24. -ContributedST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Police seized several vehicles and ticketed drivers for a number of offences in central Newfoundland on Monday and Tuesday.
Later that afternoon, also in Carmanville, RCMP received a report of a suspected impaired driver and police found and stopped the suspect vehicle. Later that evening, while on patrol in George’s Point, police stopped a vehicle and found that the driver, a 37-year-old man, was driving while prohibited, and he was arrested.The first came after a report of a man driving a vehicle without insurance or registration.
