San Diego County Crime Stoppers released surveillance photos of suspect in the Sunday evening attack in La Jolla in which the victim was stabbed several times in the chest
San Diego police are asking for the public's help to find a woman they say stabbed a 21-year-old man in the chest while he was asleep on a trolley stopped in La Jolla. The victim was sitting in a trolley car stopped at the Nobel Drive station when the woman attacked him around 5 p.m. Sunday, police said. It was not known if the woman knew the victim. Police disclosed no suspected motive for the assault.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for several stab wounds to his chest. He was expected to survive, police said. Crime Stoppers released surveillance photos of the woman Wednesday. She was described as Black, about 25 to 35 years old, between 5 feet 5 inches and and 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a medium build. She has short dark hair and was wearing a black head covering. She also was wearing a red sweater, red sweatpants and black sneakers.
