On the morning of June 1, Alameda County Superior Judge Kevin Murphy was knocked down and robbed of a Rolex watch, cellphone and cash by armed robbers who noticed his sports car pulling into a parking garage in Oakland.
All of those arrested are either suspected members of associates of a Vallejo gang that is based on the 1800 block of Ohio Street in Vallejo, and whose members have been linked to a homicide in Antioch, a shootout that wounded a 6-year-old boy in 2019, a freeway shooting in Lafayette, and a high-end car theft ring in Solano County, authorities said. Its members include at least two of the three people who’ve been identified as suspects in the robbery of Murphy, authorities said.
In the meantime, more than a dozen others have been arrested, none of whom were suspects in the robbery, police said. Those arrested include 24-year-old Damari Calvin, of Vallejo and Vacaville, who wasa former girlfriend over a money debt, in a July shooting on Highway 24 in Lafayette. The woman avoided gunfire, but her car was struck by bullets, police said.
