Detectives are treating an early-morning fire at a Kilmarnock takeaway as deliberate
Emergency services were called to the Burgur Grill eaterie in the town's Titchfield Street around 2am on Friday.
The incident played havoc with rush-hour traffic which was diverted round Kilmarnock town centre's one-way system with Titchfield Street closed as firefighters got the situation under control. In particular, detectives are scouring CCTV and believe passing motorists may hold the key to solving the case. "We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the street and who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or running from the building between 1.45am and 2am.
