Thunder Bay police said cyber crime unit officers became aware in December that a local internet user was suspected of being in possession of digital files of child exploitation.

The investigation resulted in police executing a search warrant at a home on the 300 block of Frankwood Avenue on the morning of Jan. 6.He appeared in bail court last week and was released with conditions and a future court appearance date.
